Does upgrading my Tesla void the factory warranty?

NO, Federal Law prohibits such actions

Federal Warranty Law: The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act (15 U.S.C. 2302(C))

The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act protects consumers by preventing vehicle manufacturers from denying warranty coverage simply because aftermarket parts have been installed. A manufacturer may only deny a warranty claim if it can demonstrate that the aftermarket part directly caused the issue in question.

Our upgrades DO NOT void your Tesla factory warranty. However, Tesla is not responsible for servicing or warranting aftermarket components. For example, if you have our automatic door handles and an issue develops with those parts, we—not Tesla—would provide warranty coverage and support. Rest assured, all of our upgrades are backed by a warranty for your peace of mind.

Installing aftermarket parts does NOT void your vehicle’s original Tesla warranty. We have upgraded thousands of Teslas, and our customers have consistently received warranty service from Tesla without issue. In fact, local Tesla service centers in our state recognize and appreciate the quality of our work and the value we provide to Tesla owners.

Do you offer a warranty on the products and services you offer?

Absolutely! We use premium-quality products and take pride in our workmanship. Every installation is backed by a warranty, giving you added confidence and peace of mind.

Does Tesla Software updates affect the functionality of the upgrades installed on my car?

No, our upgrades are not affected by Tesla software updates. Most of our products simply utilize the vehicle’s 12V–16V electrical system, similar to how an aftermarket stereo or audio system operates in a traditional vehicle. Only a small number of our upgrades communicate directly with Tesla’s systems, and we have never experienced a software update impacting their functionality.

In the unlikely event that a software update were to affect one of our upgrades, your installation is covered by warranty. Simply bring your vehicle in, and we’ll take care of everything for you.

If I sell my car do I need to remove the upgrades?

No, it’s not required, but it’s something you’ll need to decide based on your goals. Upgrades can increase your vehicle’s appeal and may add value, particularly when selling to a private buyer. Since most Teslas on the road remain unchanged from the factory, thoughtfully selected upgrades can help your vehicle stand out and showcase the additional features and functionality you’ve invested in.

How much do upgrades cost?

Pricing varies depending on the upgrade you choose. We provide transparent, upfront pricing on all of our services, so there’s no need to request a quote or call for pricing information. Simply visit the product page for any upgrade to view the installation cost located at the top of the page.

Can I see a demonstration before I get an upgrade!?

Absolutely! We have Tesla vehicles in our shop equipped with many of the upgrades featured on our website. You’re welcome to schedule a demo appointment to visit our facility, see the upgrades in person, and experience a live demonstration of our services.

  I went for a cabin and hepa filter change and earl who did my replacement was a great guy and very professional and knowledgeable. I plan to come back to have more upgrades done to my car. If your looking for a place to take your car. to for upgrades. This is your place.

  Distinct Tesla did an awesome job installing my power frunk and Tesla puddle lights! I used there Mobil install option. My installer Earl kept me in the loop when he would be showing up. Talked me through the install process and knocked it out in about hour or so. He was super friendly and answered all my questions. Kornell the owner was really helpful and went the extra mile to accommodate my schedule. Will definitely be using them for all future upgrades on my Tesla.

  These guys know what they’re doing and do it extremely well. Also, Kornell is prompt in answering and take care of you. He arranged to minimize the working time so I could wait as little as possible (I am 50 miles away from their location). He even took me back and forth with his car to the nearby commercial center while they were working on my car. Highly recommended!!

  Kornell did a fantastic job installing the electronic retractable sunshade on my 2024 model y. The shop was super clean and organized. He had refreshments and snacks if you wanted a refreshment or snack. My car is a lot cooler now with the sunshade! My fiance and I can’t wait to bring our teslas in for more work! 😎

  Let me say that Kornell at Distinct is amazing and professional! He’s accommodating, helpful and such a good guy. It’s hard to find people to work on your car that you trust and people to work on your car when you’re very protective about your ride.
